The Old Joe Club Charity’s work in 2024 emphasized sustained support and expansion of its community partnerships, awarding $55,100 to nonprofits and local programs throughout Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Funding was generated through signature events like the MNO (Monday Night Out) and Croquet tournaments, showcasing the Club’s blend of camaraderie and service.
Major grants were distributed to causes such as Camp Freedom, known for its rehabilitation programs for veterans and first responders, and Baltzer Meyer Historical Society, preserving the region’s rich heritage. CASA of Westmoreland and Hobnob Theater Company also received critical funding to continue their legal advocacy for children and artistic programs, respectively.
The Croquet event, in particular, directed a significant portion of funds to youth and community initiatives. Honor societies at Greensburg Salem, Hempfield Area, and Greensburg Central Catholic High Schools benefited from grants that foster academic excellence. Local nonprofits like the YMCA of Greensburg, Miracle League of Western PA, and Sages Army received awards to further their missions in youth development, inclusive recreation, and addiction recovery services.
2024’s allocations reflect the Old Joe Club’s vision to not only address immediate needs but also build lasting pillars of support through education, arts, history, and health. Their efforts have fortified the nonprofit landscape of Westmoreland County, ensuring a stronger, more connected community.
